New for 2019 – Rotpunkt Arabica & Abbey Split Oak wood effect melamine veneer: Zerox laminate kitchen concept

Rotpunkt, award winning designer and manufacturer of quality German Kitchen furniture typify the latest trend for dark kitchens with the launch of its coffee-rich brown lacquered door front, Arabica: a first-class alternative to the quintessential black and grey kitchen.

“Brown is back, now being viewed amongst the design community as modern and the next go-to colour for dark interiors, whether one-tone or combined with warm metallics and rustic wood finishes,” says Matt Philips, Head of UK Operations, Rotpunkt.

Part of Rotpunkt’s 2019 Metal Line and Black Line kitchen series, the new Arabica door colour in matt or gloss will create a highly tactile, quality look that is sustainable and eco-friendly. Moreover, its XT Extreme Matt HPL lacquer finish is anti-fingerprint, easy to clean and highly resistant against chemicals and UV rays.

Contrary to Arabica’s brown façade, Rotpunkt’s new Abbey Split Oak adds warmth to this monochrome colour story and a natural unity between light and dark. Complete with a mix of grain and pin knots indicative of real wood, the new Abbey Split Oak colour option is a wood effect melamine door with the look and feel of genuine Oak!

Designed for open living environments, this broken-plan kitchen concept guarantees a sensitive blend of rich colours and materials. The new and industrial-style glass doors in smoked black pop against the new Arabica colour on the tall bank of wall units and combination shelving with integrated Blaze handle in Inox Brown.

The island unit and composite Belgian Earth Velvet 40mm worktop creates the perfect foundation for the new Abbey Split Oak adjoining open unit shelving system and base units. Designed to expand the island with additional countertop space, the shelving system also features a surrounding shadow-gap. This design detail allows the dark base colour to outline the raw beauty of this new wood effect veneer, making it the ideal décor for open-plan design schemes.

With a greater need for contemporary form and function in the modern kitchen, multipurpose workstations that play with different eye-lines and visual weights are a must-have for creating ample storage in a discreet manner. In fact, this kitchen concept is concealing a practical LeMans corner unit and the new ZX 1400 Zircon drawers and pan drawers: a system of drawers and pull-outs with 140mm glass or oak side panels (City Brown Oak, City Grey Oak and City Nature Oak).

One of the bestselling ranges by Rotpunkt, the Zerox XT range provides excellent value for money with absolutely no compromise on quality of design, and the new Zerox Arabica Abbey Split Oak Kitchen is priced from £15,000 +vat, as pictured.
